Salina Noon Rotary Launches Annual “Christmas Bells Project” to Support Children at Martin Luther King Daycare

The Salina Noon Rotary Club is proud to announce the launch of its annual Christmas Bells Project, a long-standing initiative that brings holiday joy to the children of Martin Luther King Daycare. Each year, club members come together to provide gifts, clothing, and essential items to local families in need—and thanks to the community’s continued generosity, the project has grown into a cherished tradition.

This year, the Christmas Bells Project will support 40 children in 29 families, ensuring that each child experiences a magical Christmas filled with warmth and care.

“For years, our members have shown incredible kindness in making the holidays special for these kids,” said project coordinator John Hendrick.

Club members and friends are invited to participate by selecting a “Christmas Bell,” each representing a child and their holiday wish list. Participants may sign up in person through John Hendrick before or after Rotary meetings, or streamline the process by registering online through SignUpGenius.

Once registered, participants may choose to receive their Bell in person during a regular club meeting or have the child’s request list emailed directly to them. A comment section on the sign-up form allows individuals to indicate their delivery preference.

“We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support our Rotary members show year after year,” Hendrick added. “With 40 children counting on us, we know our club will rise to the occasion once again.”

The Salina Noon Rotary Club invites members who have not yet registered, to join in spreading joy this holiday season and helping ensure every child at Martin Luther King Daycare has a Christmas to remember.
