Member Spotlight: Melanie Sander

Summer approaches and June promises wonderful activities and celebrations. Please remember that June is the final month for our “Attain and Retain” membership campaign competition. Please bring your prospects for membership to a meeting soon. I am pleased to feature our newest member, Melanie Sanders, in our Spotlight this month. She replaced Dan White at Servicemaster, and he recommended Rotary to her. Please welcome and get to know Melanie.
Brenda O’Gorman, Membership Chair

“I am a long time resident of Salina, KS. After graduating from Salina Central High School, I moved away for a time to attend college and enjoy some life adventures in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but returned to Salina in 2005 to get married and start a family. I now have a 15-year-old daughter that is in her sophomore year at my alma-mater, Salina Central! My career has been focused on managing a variety of service related businesses, in the restaurant industry, our local grocery, Prairieland Market, event coordinating for Salina Downtown, Inc, and now as the Business Services Manager for ServiceMaster of Salina. My area of responsibility at ServiceMaster includes taking care of maintaining the more than 100 commercial businesses that we service each week. In my spare time, I love to spend time with family and friends, cook and work on craft projects. I am excited to be a part of the Noon Rotary Club of Salina, and look forward to the learning and community engagement that comes from being a part of this group.”
